Surgery Hours and Appointments. |

Our appointment times are 7:45am to 3:45pm, Monday to Friday. If unable to keep an appointment please call in advance to reschedule. A referral is required from a medical practitioner or optometrist for you to be appropriately reimbursed from Medicare. Emergencies will be seen on the day as dictated by your referring practitioner. |

The Examination. |

All patients when registering for the first time will be asked to fill in a patient questionnaire. Please let us know about phone numbers, change of address, issuing of health care and pension cards prior to billing. Bring with you a list of medications presently taken and your glasses. Dilating drops are usually necessary during the examination and can take several hours to wear off. Please bring sunglasses and someone to drive you home if possible.

During the examination we will be using state of the art equipment. A slit lamp examination, glaucoma and cataract check, and retinal examination will be performed. Additional testing including computerised visual field testing, digital fluorescein angiography, ultrasonic pachymetry and optical coherence tomography are available on site if required. |

Glaucoma laser treatment and most types of retinal laser treatment are also available on site as required. |

Fee Policy. |
|
| |
The practice does not bulk bill. However pensioners and health card holders are discounted. We ask that all patients pay the full amount on the consultation day. Your receipt should then be sent to a Medicare office for you to get your Medicare entitlement. If you are having financial difficulties please discuss with one of the eye doctors. Please feel free to discuss fees with our staff. |
